I shared details about my car at the register. He had me sign the receipt for diagnostics alone without telling me the actual cost or detailing what exactly they were doing to do to inspect my car. I was naive not asking for the price. That’s a red flag for me, decided not to follow through. Cost for checking transmission function: $220
